Important information for interested campers:
Welcome to Victoria Park CI! You have four great years ahead of you full of new friends, amazing classes, and fun activities for everybody. But it can also be a bit scary. That’s why VPCI is offering a four-day three-night getaway: to build lifelong friendships and to have fun!
Camp Tamakwa, up in the gorgeous Algonquin Park, is a fully-operational outdoor education centre (yes, they have plumbing and electricity) where you can participate in fun games and activities you couldn’t do in the city. Canoeing and kayaking on the still, blue lake. Ziplining through the trees and that crisp autumn air. Hiking through the forest and building bonfires. There is even a talent show on the last night where you can perform anything you like. These are just a few of the things that you can enjoy if you come to Camp Tamakwa.
You will be sleeping in beautiful cabins, separated by gender. In each cabin, there will be at least three student leaders who are either in Grade 11 or 12. But that’s not all. There will be seven teachers, the Camp Tamakwa staff, and a registered nurse present.
What you get: The entire camp experience, all meals included, a souvenir T-shirt
Duration of the trip: September 20 – 23, 2015
